چکیده

HPV: human papillomavirus INTRODUCTION Sustainability of transplanted organs requires lifetime immunosuppressive treatments. Resulting immune deficiency leads to an increased risk of viral infections and virus-induced tumors. Human papillomavirus (HPV) skin infections are the most common in such cases. More than 80% of patients suffer from warts 5 years after the transplant. Unlike lesions in immunocompetent hosts, these warts rarely respond to usual treatments. We report a case of plantar warts in an immunocompromised patient, resistant to multiple therapies, treated successfully with ingenol mebutate cream.

Evaluation of Ingenol mebutate efficacy for the treatment of actinic keratosis with Antera 3D camera.

OBJECTIVE Cumulative exposure of the skin to ultraviolet radiation promotes mutation in keratinocytes and their abnormal growth led to the formation of scaly lesions, called actinic keratoses (AKs). Its incidence is growing at an emerging rate, becoming a worldwide problem especially for occupational ultraviolet (UV) rays exposure. Detectable lesions are often associated with field changes, wher...

Treatments that target both clinically visible and subclinical AKs in cancerization fields are able to reduce the risk of malignant progression. Ingenol mebutate gel is a new effective topical therapy for A...

Tumor-Preferential Induction of Immune Responses and Epidermal Cell Death in Actinic Keratoses by Ingenol Mebutate

UNLABELLED The rapid and strong clinical efficacy of the first-in-class, ingenol mebutate, against actinic keratosis (AK) has resulted in its recent approval. We conducted the first comprehensive analysis of the cellular and molecular mode of action of topical ingenol mebutate 0.05% gel in both AK and uninvolved skin of 26 patients in a phase I, single-center, open-label, within-patient compari...
